  • Baking Soda

The same baking soda that you use in cooking can also be used to remove stains from clothing to some extent. It helps minimize the odor from your clothes, and it is also safe to use on a variety of fabrics.

You can even wash children’s sleepwear or other delicates with baking soda. Moreover, if you use baking soda with detergent, it will boost its performance and soften the fabric.

  • Lemon juice

Natural lemon juice has a high content of acetic acid, which can naturally bleach clothes. So, if you spill any paint, sauce, or wine on your shirt, you can put some lemon juice on the stain and leave it for some time.

However, you mustn’t leave the lemon juice on the fabric for an extended time as it might cause discoloration.

  • Distilled white vinegar

Distilled white vinegar works best on white clothes as it will make them brighter. It is a gentle and easily available product that is safe to use on all kinds of fabrics.

Commonly, you will find the 3% solution at drug stores, which is often used as a disinfectant, but it is also a good choice for laundry.

It can even help to remove underarm yellowing stains from a white shirt or t-shirt.
